Udit Narayan Jha, popularly known as Udit Narayan (Nepali (Nepali language): ???? ??????) is a playback singer in commercial Hindi, Urdu, Sindhi, Tamil (Tamil language), Telugu (Telugu films), Malayalam, Kannada, Oriya (Oriya language), Assamese (Assamese language) and Nepali (Nepali language) language cinema. Narayan has sung more than 15,000 songs in more than 30 different languages, of which over 260 films have been in Hindi alone. He is also a recipient of the Padma Shri award, one of Indias highest civilian honours, which he received in 2009.
