The Boston Globe (and Boston Sunday Globe) is an American (United States) daily newspaper based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Globe has been owned by The New York Times Company since 1993. Its chief print rival is the Boston Herald. In 2009-2010 the Globes average weekday circulation fell to 232,432, down from 302,638, or 23.2%. Sunday circulation fell 18.8% to 378,949.
The Globe has won eighteen Pulitzer Prizes.
