Robert Hepler "Rob" Lowe (IPA-en?r?b ?lo?pron; born March 17, 1964) is an American actor. He became known after appearing in 1980s movies such as The Outsiders (The Outsiders (film)) and St. Elmos Fire (St. Elmos Fire (movie)), which included other members of the Brat Pack (Brat Pack (movies)). Lowe is also known for his role as Sam Seaborn on The West Wing (The West Wing (TV series)) and as Senator Robert McCallister (Robert McCallister (Brothers & Sisters)) on Brothers & Sisters (Brothers & Sisters (2006 TV series)).
