Philip Nicholas "Phil" Angelides (pronEng?�nd???li?d?s respellANj?LEEdees), born June 12, 1953 in Sacramento, California), is an American politician who was California State Treasurer and the unsuccessful Democratic (Democratic Party (United States)) nominee for Governor of California in the 2006 elections (California gubernatorial election, 2006). Angelides currently serves as the Chair of the Apollo Alliance and of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
