Oral Roberts University (ORU), based in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the United States, is a private, Charismatic Christian, comprehensive university with an enrollment of about 3,790 students from 49 U.S. (United States) states (U.S. state) along with a significant number of international students from 70 countries. Founded in 1963, the university is named for its late founder, evangelist (Evangelism) Oral Roberts, and is the largest Charismatic Christian (Charismatic Movement) university in the world.
Sitting on a 500-acre (2.023 km2) campus, ORU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), and offers over 65 undergraduate degree programs along with a number of masters and doctoral degrees.
