Omar Sharif (born Michael Demitri Shalhoub; April 10, 1932) is an Arab Egyptian actor who has starred in Hollywood films, most famously in Doctor Zhivago (Doctor Zhivago (1965 film)), Funny Girl (Funny Girl (film)) and Lawrence of Arabia (Lawrence of Arabia (film)). He has been nominated for an Academy Award and has won three Golden Globe Awards.
