Mia Wasikowska (pronounced IPAc-pl?va?i?k?fska respellvah-sheeKOFska; born 14 October 1989) is an Australian actress. She first became known for her critically acclaimed work on the HBO television series In Treatment. In 2010 she starred as Alice in Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland (Alice in Wonderland (2010 film)), and will also appear in the Sundance hit The Kids Are All Right (The Kids Are All Right (film)). In 2011 she will star in Gus Van Sants Restless (Restless (2011 film)) and then portray the title character in Cary Fukunagas adaptation of Jane Eyre (Jane Eyre (2011 film)).
