Mark S. Critz (born January 5, 1962) is an American (United States) politician and the Congressman for Pennsylvanias 12th congressional district. The district, located in the southwestern portion of the state, stretches from Johnstown (Johnstown, Pennsylvania) to the southern suburbs of Pittsburgh.
Critz was the district director for the 12ths longtime congressman, John Murtha. Following Murthas death, Critz won the May 2010 special election with 53% of the vote to complete Murthas term as the Democratic (Democratic Party (United States)) candidate for the 12th congressional district. Critz was sworn in on May 20.
