Lily Cole (born 19 May 1988) is an English model (Model (person)) and actress. Coles modelling career was launched by a chance encounter with Benjamin Hart in Soho, London when Cole was 14.

She has featured in several well known publications including cover appearances on V (V (American magazine)) and Vogue (Vogue (magazine)), attracting controversy in 2008 by appearing naked in a pictorial for Playboy magazines French edition. In addition, Cole has appeared in advertisements for several companies including high street retailer Marks and Spencer and cosmetics chain Rimmel.

Having had several minor acting roles, starting with St Trinians (St Trinians (film)) in 2007, Coles first leading role was as Valentina in the 2009 film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in which she starred alongside Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law. Cole is due to appear in two upcoming films including There Be Dragons, due for release in 2010, and Marilyn Mansons Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll, for which no release date has yet been set.

Cole is currently in her second year of reading History of Art at the University of Cambridge.
