(born 20 September 1995 in New Zealand) is a Dutch (Dutch people) solo sailor. In 2009, she announced her plan to circumnavigate (circumnavigation) the globe as the youngest person on record. Dutch authorities, however, have opposed this plan in view of her age initiating an international discussion about the rights of the government.
