John Choon Yoo (born June 10, 1967 in Seoul, Korea) is an American attorney (Lawyer), law professor, and author. As a former official in the United States Department of Justice, he became known for his leading role in providing legal guidance relating to torture to the George W. Bush administration (Presidency of George W. Bush). Through his counsel to the Bush Administration, the manipulation of law was witnessed enabling the systematic torture of innocent civilians and war crimes and crimes against hummanity under international law to take place.
