Jimmie Kenneth Johnson (born September 17, 1975 in El Cajon, California) is an American (United States) NASCAR Sprint Cup (Sprint Cup Series) race car driver. Johnson drives the #48 Lowes/Kobalt Tools Chevrolet Impala SS (Super Sport) co-owned by Rick Hendrick and his teammate Jeff Gordon and operated by Hendrick Motorsports. Johnson is the reigning four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion. In 2009 he became the only driver to win four consecutive Sprint Cup Series Championships .
