Jeremy Shaffer "J.R." Roenick (IPA-en?ro?n?kpron; born January 17, 1970) is a retired American (United States) professional ice hockey player who played the majority of his career in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks over the course of his 18 NHL (National Hockey League) season career and represented Team USA (American national mens hockey team) in numerous international tournaments. On November 10, 2007, he became the third American-born player (Joe Mullen and Mike Modano are the other two) to score 500 goals (List of NHL players with 500 goals).
