John Paul Henry Daniel Richard Grimes and Edward Peter Anthony Kevin Patrick Grimes (born 16 October 1991) are an Irish singing duo (duet), performing under the name Jedward. Known for their distinctive blonde quiffs and unique performances, the identical twins (Twin#Monozygotic twins) have risen to fame since appearing as John & Edward on the sixth series (The X Factor (UK series 6)) of The X Factor (The X Factor (UK)) in 2009, in a phenomenon described as the "Jedward paradox".

Jedwards debut single, "Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)" featuring Vanilla Ice, was released on 1 February 2010. They performed the song as a duet with Vanilla Ice at the National Television Awards ceremony on 20 January. Released on Sony Music (Sony Music Entertainment), it reached number two in the UK Singles Chart and number one in the Irish singles charts (Irish Singles Charts). However, on 16 March, Jedward were dropped by Sony, having only had a one-single deal, and subsequently signed to Universal Records (Universal Music) on a three-album deal the following day. They embarked on their first national headline tour, the Jedward Tour 2010, from 6 April to 1 May. The twins have confirmed that their second single will be released on 28 May, with their album then coming out July 16th 2010.
