Jacques Henry Kallis (born 16 October 1975 in Pinelands, Cape Town, South Africa) is a South African cricketer. As an all-rounder he is a formidable right-handed batsman and fast-medium (fast bowling) swing (swing bowling)bowler. He is the only cricketer in the history of the game to hold more than 10,000 run (run (cricket))s and 250 wickets in both one day and Test match cricket. From October-December 2007 he produced a streak of five centuries in four Test Matches; he has 34 in total. He was named Leading Cricketer in the World (Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World) in the 2008 Wisden (Wisden Cricketers Almanack) for his performances in 2007 in addition to being the "ICC Test Player of the Year" and ICC Player of the Year in 2005. He has been described by Kevin Pietersen and Daryll Cullinan as the greatest cricketer to play the game.Citation neededdate=April 2010
