The Karate Kid is coming back

What a difference 25 years makes The Karate Kid is coming back, with two very different stars filling the roles of Daniel Larusso (played in the original film by Ralph Macchio) and his mentor Mr Migayi (the late Pat Morita).Will Smith's 11 year old son Jaden is the prodigy this time around (now called Dre), tutored by kung fu legend Jackie Chan, playing Mr Han.These on-set snaps show the pair shooting the new movie, called The Kung-Fu Kid, on location in China - under the watchful eye of Jaden's dad, who's producing the project.Chan has been helping Jaden prepare for the role - and he's got high praise for his young co-star, revealing he's already mastered a special routine the actor showed off in 1978 movie Drunken Master.Chan says,

Jackie Chan, SBS (Silver Bauhinia Star), MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) (born Chan Kong Sang, ???; 7 April 1954) is a Hong Kong (Hong Kong people) actor, action choreographer (Stage combat), filmmaker, comedian, producer (film producer), martial artist, screenwriter, entrepreneur, singer and stunt performer.

In his movies, he is known for his acrobatic (acrobatics) fighting style, comic timing, use of improvised weapons and innovative stunts. Jackie Chan has been acting since the 1970s and has appeared in over 100 films. Chan has received stars on the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars (Avenue of Stars, Hong Kong) and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a cultural icon, Chan has been referenced in various pop songs, cartoons and video games.
