*Huda (Islam), the Arabic word for guidance or guide. In Islamic context, the Quran itself is considered a huda, a (true) guidance. Compare: Naseeha.

*Huda (name), a popular Muslim name for girls (alternately Houda, Hoda, Huda), and; in some parts of the world, like Indonesia, India, and Pakistan, it is also a name used for boys. Huda is also a common surname in Gujrat and Bihar provinces of India and Sindh province in Pakistan, as well as a popular surname in Bangladesh. Words from the same root are: hidaya(guidance) and hadi (guide masculine).
