

Hazel Anne Blears (born 14 May 1956) is a British (British people) Labour politician (Labour Party (UK)) and the Member of Parliament for Salford (Salford (UK Parliament constituency)). She served in the Cabinet (UK Cabinet) as Minister without Portfolio and Labour Party Chair (Labour Party (UK)) between 2006 and 2007, and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government from 2007 to 2009, when she resigned.
