Gary Barlow (born 20 January 1971 in Frodsham, Cheshire) is an English singer-songwriter, pianist, occasional actor and producer (Record producer). He is a member and lead vocalist of the pop group Take That and was one of the most successful songwriters of the 1990s, penning 16 hit singles during the decade. Barlow has had two No.1 hits and a No.1 album along with five other top 40 UK singles as a solo singer in the last half of the 1990s, and has had 11 No.1 singles and 7 No.1 albums with Take That. He is a five-time recipient of the prestigious Ivor Novello Award and has been voted the greatest British songwriter of all time.
