Francine Joy "Fran" Drescher (born September 30, 1957) is an American (United States) film and television actress (actor), comedian, screenwriter, television director, producer (Television producer), author, activist and political lobbyist. Drescher is best known for playing Fran Fine on the television series The Nanny, for which she was nominated for two Emmys (Emmy Award) and Golden Globe Award.
