The Ford Figo is Fords (Ford India Private Limited) new subcompact automobile that went on sale on 10 March 2010 in India for Rs 3.5 lakh (U$8400). It is based on the Ford Global B platform, and is built only in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to be sold worldwide. It gets its name from the colloquial Italian expression Figo which is similar to colloquial English expression cool.
