Carlos Caetano Bledorn Verri (born October 31, 1963 in Iju�, Rio Grande do Sul), commonly known as Dunga (pronounced as DOON-gah), is a Brazilian former football (Association football) defensive midfielder, of Italian (Italian Brazilian) and German (German Brazilian) ascendance, and a World Champion for Brazil (Brazil national football team) in the 1994 World Cup (Football World Cup 1994). He is now national coach of the Brazilian national team (Brazil national football team). Dungas nickname is Portuguese (Portuguese language) for "Dopey", the smallest of the Seven Dwarfs (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937 film)) (Dungas uncle gave him this nickname when he believed that he would never grow to a tall stature).
