Andrew Christopher "Drew" Brees (IPA-en?bri?spron; born January 15, 1979) is the starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was drafted (NFL Draft) by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Purdue (Purdue Boilermakers football).
Brees has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times in his career - with the Chargers in 2004 (2005 Pro Bowl) and the Saints in 2006 (2007 Pro Bowl), 2008 (2009 Pro Bowl), and 2009 (2010 Pro Bowl). He was named the NFLs Comeback Player of the Year (NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award) in 2004, the Offensive Player of the Year (National Football League Offensive Player of the Year Award) in 2008, and the MVP (Super Bowl MVP) of Super Bowl XLIV.
