Donald McLean, Jr. (born October 2, 1945, New Rochelle (New Rochelle, New York), New York) is an American singer-songwriter. He is most famous for the 1971 album American Pie (American Pie (album)), containing the renowned songs "American Pie (American Pie (song))" and "Vincent (Vincent (song))".

Both McLeans grandfather and father were also named Donald McLean. The Buccis, the family of McLeans mother, Elizabeth, came from Abruzzo in central Italy. They left Italy and settled in Port Chester, New York at the end of the 19th century. He has other extended family in Los Angeles and Boston.
