Lila Diane Sawyer (born December 22, 1945) is an American television journalist for the ABC News division of the ABC (American Broadcasting Company) network (television network). On December 21, 2009, she began anchoring (news presenter) World News with Diane Sawyer (ABC World News), the networks flagship news program.
Until December 11, 2009, Sawyer was a long-time co-anchor (news anchor) of ABC Newss morning news program (Breakfast television), Good Morning America (GMA).
