Phoebe Nora Mary Prince (November 24, 1994 - January 14, 2010) was a teenager from Fanore in County Clare, Ireland (Republic of Ireland), who moved to South Hadley, Massachusetts. She became known throughout the United States when she committed suicide after suffering months of constant bullying from school classmates. Her death brought calls for more stringent, specific anti-bullying laws in Massachusetts. In March 2010, a state (U.S. State) anti-bullying task force was set up as a result of her death. The Massachusetts legislation was signed into law on May 3, 2010.
