Daunte Richard Culpepper (born January 28, 1977 in city-stateOcalaFlorida) is an American football quarterback for the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League (United Football League (2009)). He played college football at the University of Central Florida (UCF Knights football).
A three-time Pro Bowl selection with the National Football Leagues Minnesota Vikings, Culpepper suffered a serious knee injury during the 2005 season. He has also played for the NFLs Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, and Detroit Lions.
Culpepper has worked with the African American Adoption Agency since his rookie season, and hosts an annual Daunte Culpepper AAAA Celebrity Golf Tournament fundraiser. He has also served as a keynote speaker at the United Way (United Way of America) Reason To Be Thankful celebration. Culpepper was drafted by the New York Yankees before his NFL career started.
