The Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD or DISD) is a school district based in Dallas (Dallas, Texas), Texas (USA (United States)). Dallas ISD, which operates schools in much of Dallas County (Dallas County, Texas), is the second largest school district in Texas and the twelfth largest (List of the largest school districts in the United States by enrollment) in the United States.
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable (Texas Education Agency accountability ratings system)" by the Texas Education Agency.
