Daisuke Takahashi?? ??Takahashi Daisuke (born March 16, 1986) is a Japanese (Japanese people) figure skater, notable as the 2010 Olympic bronze medalist (figure skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics - Mens singles), the 2010 World Champion (World Figure Skating Championships), the 2007 World silver medalist (World Figure Skating Championships), the 2008 Four Continents Champion (Four Continents Figure Skating Championships), and a four-time (2006-2008, 2010) Japanese national champion (Japanese Figure Skating Championships).
Takahashi represented Japan at the 2006 Winter Olympics and at the 2010 Winter Olympics (Japan at the 2010 Winter Olympics). His bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics was the first Olympic medal for Japan in the mens singles event.
He is the current record holder for the free skate and the combined total under the International Skating Union.
As of201004, he is ranked 13th in the world by the International Skating Union (ISU).
