Carmine John Persico, Jr. (born August 8, 1937 Brooklyn) also known as "Junior", "The Snake" and "Immortal", has been the de-facto boss (crime boss) of the Colombo crime family since the beginning of the 1970s. Persico is currently serving life imprisonment at the Federal Bureau of Prisons Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Medium (Federal Correctional Complex, Butner) in North Carolina for murder and racketeering charges.
