Robert William "Bob" Barker (born December 12, 1923) is an American (United States) former television game show host (Master of Ceremonies). He is best known for hosting CBSs The Price Is Right (The Price Is Right (U.S. game show)) from 1972 to 2007, making it the longest-running daytime game show in North American television history. After holding the job for 35 years and being in television for 50 years, Barker retired in June 2007.

Barker has been a long-time supporter of animal rights, and of animal-rights activism, including groups such as the United Activists for Animal Rights and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
