Paul Andrew "Andy" Richter (born October 28, 1966) is an American (United States) actor, writer, comedian, and announcer. He is best known for his sidekick role on Late Night with Conan OBrien between 1993 and 2000. He is also known for his work with the Madagascar (Madagascar (2005 film)) films and for the sitcoms Quintuplets, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and Andy Barker, P.I. Richter had rejoined OBrien as announcer/sidekick on The Tonight Show with Conan OBrien, which aired from June 1, 2009 to January 22, 2010. Richter is currently touring with OBrien across the country on the The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour.
