Alistair Cees Overeem (born May 17, 1980) is a Dutch (Netherlands) mixed martial artist and kickboxer. He is the current Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion (List of Strikeforce champions#Heavyweight Championship). He holds notable wins over top mixed martial artists such as Vitor Belfort, Sergei Kharitonov, Igor Vovchanchyn and Brett Rogers. In kickboxing he holds notable wins over Badr Hari, Peter Aerts and Ewerton Teixeira. As of May 2010, he is ranked as the #7 heavyweight in the world by Sherdog.
