another not to be missed list > Darwin s Nightmare

Wednesday having a day off on Monday didn  t seem to help much to accelerate a week Hot steamy summer day   I got up late after devouring Paul Thourex  s  Dark Star Safari  book ravenously until 1am  That means I barely came to work by 9 30am  lazy way to start a day   Another busy day but thank god   not a single meeting today    This documentary film popped out of my email subscription from IFC Center  NYC this afternoon  http   www coop99 at darwins nightmare darwin html startset htmI have to watch  Darwin  s Nightmare  documentary film to see where Paul Thourex traveled  I have to visualize many days of imagination of his great journey  Also I felt the real power of film has been diluted lately with all those commercial films which squeeze my emotion in very calculated way   flawlessly written and re written story  ever famous greasy actors actresses faces  mega million pumped computer graphics  All these will guarantee no failure and great emotional feeling from any audience who willing to pay $10 for two hours  Not to mention all those superbly organized and structured mega size movie studios and film distributor corporations whom cares nothing but their ROI  Return On Investment   After watching many of those spotless commercial films lately  now I have relentless itchy feeling to see the real cinema   not acted upon well written story butliterally showing everything as one sees  I need to feel real thing   raw  not a fake one  harsh reality as it can be  I couldn  t encounter any other better format than film I feel sorry that I have kind of forgotten those punches on my soul Show me the real pictures  I will feel the story Show me the real life  I will feel the reality  IFC Center is newly established wonderful Independent Film Mecca in New York City located in historical Greenwich Village  6th Ave  3rd st  I hope they flourish with great spirit of independency and also I would like to visit often  http   www ifccenter com indexhttp   www ifccenter com about The New York Times Review  by A O  Scott  8 3
